Spider and Jack-O-Lanterns - How To's

I had some chocolate melts left over and was wondering what to do with them.  I found some double stuffed Oreos and took one side of the cookie off and reversed it.  Placed it back on the creme and pressed.  Then insert a popsicle stick.  I decided to use a spoon to just apply the melted chocolate to one side of the Oreo and then decorate.  Super easy and cute.  The kids loved it!!!

Next, I have attempted cake balls before and had NO luck.  I thought I would give it a go again, for the kids sake:)  Well they turned out okay, nothing to be excited about.  At least the kids had fun dipping and decorating.  Of course the eating part was the best!!!

For the cake pops you will need:
-One box cake
-One tub of icing
- one bag of popsicle sticks
-candy melts

Bake the cake as directed.  Once cooled add 3/4 of the icing to the cake.  Mix together in a bowl.  Form balls out of the cake mixture, about 1 - 1 1/2 in.  Let stand in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.  Melt candy melts and stick the popsicle stick tips into the chocolate and insert into cake balls.  Let the chocolate set. Then roll the balls in the melted chocolate to coat completely.  Finally decorate.

Be careful, the cake balls do come off the popsicle stick kinda easy!!!!
